the course
During this 3-day course you will learn how to manually draw a repeat pattern. From drawing motifs inspired by nature, geometric or figurative to manually putting them on a repeat. Each lesson we work with a different theme and a different technique. After 3 lessons you will have 3 patterns on repeat. Choose your favorite design from these 3 and have it printed on 1 linear meter of fabric. We will work with paper, pen and markers, these materials are available during the lessons.
If you choose the weekend course you will have 3 patterns on repeat after both lessons.
You can also choose private lessons.

This course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn how to design patterns with a manual character. You don't have to be able to draw well, but you do have to have the courage to do so and playfully try. Your drawings form the starting point of the design. Your style also gives it its own character. However, the motifs can be as simple as you want. So discover what you can do and what your own style is. Where & when
The course location depends on the number of participants, but will be in Maastricht. Another location may be possible in consultation and if there are enough participants.
