cuddly animals

It all started with cuddly animal Ollie. As a third year student at the Art Academy we were asked to design a cuddly animal for the annual Hema design contest. Ollie won the third prize. After that he was sold successfully at the department store. Hema asked me to design some family members for Ollie the elephant. I was so very proud! Just graduated my study applied textile design and immediately such a great commission. Hare Zoefie, giraf Raffie, monkey Appie and mouse Mies were sold at  the famous Dutch stores. After a few years I got the design-rights back and made Ollie and Zoefie in many different varieties.

I also designed a few new cuddly animals. Like cuddly cushion Hedgehog, a fish called Wanda, bird Piep and piggy Rosie. I make the stuffed animals in very small batches. For stores, to sell in my studio and in my webshop.
